Xiaomi has started sales of its Smart Camera 4 Max AI Zoom Edition in China. Priced at 799 yuan, the device can be bought for about 739 yuan ($110) after using coupons on JD.com. An optional AI model membership costs from 349 yuan per year.

The camera features a pan-tilt design that rotates 360 degrees horizontally and 180 degrees vertically. It uses a dual-lens setup with a 12MP telephoto and an 8MP wide-angle sensor. Ten built-in infrared lights support night vision. The device offers up to 3x lossless zoom and 12x hybrid zoom along with autofocus and infrared night vision.

AI-Powered Monitoring and Assistance
This model includes Xiaomi’s first AI caregiving large model, focused on children, elderly, and pets. Powered by a flagship-level 3T high-performance chip, the device supports extensive local AI detection. The updated Person Recognition Pro algorithm identifies individuals not only from the front but also from side views, backs, and other body features. Xiaomi claims a 20% accuracy improvement and faster identification.

Smart Home Integration and Storage Options
The camera supports Xiaomi’s Surge smart home platform, enabling smart interactions with other Mi Home products. It offers three storage methods: microSD card, cloud storage, and NAS support, giving flexible options for user data management.
