Xiaomi is preparing to expand its official battery upgrade service to more flagship devices. According to Xiaomi’s latest service announcement, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to become eligible for the larger-capacity battery upgrade program in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending a final official rollout notice. For now, this service remains exclusive to China, and there is no confirmation that the same battery upgrade option will become available in global markets.
What is Xiaomi’s battery upgrade service?
Unlike a standard battery replacement, Xiaomi’s battery upgrade service does not simply replace the old battery with a new unit of the same capacity. Instead, it installs a larger-capacity battery designed for the same device, giving older flagship phones better endurance without requiring users to buy a new model.
The service currently supports three Xiaomi 13 series models in China:
- Xiaomi 13: 4500mAh → 4850mAh, around 7.8% higher capacity
- Xiaomi 13 Pro: 4820mAh → 5361mAh, around 11% higher capacity
- Xiaomi 13 Ultra: 5000mAh → 5500mAh, around 10% higher capacity
This makes the program especially valuable for users whose phones are still fast enough for daily use but have started to show reduced battery life after long-term charging cycles.
Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro support expected later this year
Xiaomi says support for the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to be added in Q4 2026. However, the company also notes that the final availability will depend on later official announcements.
At this stage, Xiaomi has not confirmed the upgraded battery capacities for the Xiaomi 14 series. The company also has not announced whether the service will expand beyond China. Since the current program is handled through Xiaomi’s local Chinese service ecosystem, global users should not assume immediate availability in Europe, India, Turkey, or other regions.

Users in China can schedule battery services through the Xiaomi Service WeChat Mini Program, the Xiaomi Mall app, or the Mi Home app. Xiaomi also recommends choosing service centers marked with the “IP68 Protection Service” logo if users want IP68 protection to be maintained after the repair.
Monthly service week discounts
Xiaomi Service will also run battery-related promotional activities during its monthly service week, held from the 1st to the 7th day of each month. During the July service week, the battery upgrade services for Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra, along with standard battery replacement plans for Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, will be eligible for discounts in China.
This makes the service more attractive for long-term users who want to extend the practical life of their flagship phones at a lower cost.
