Xiaomi has started promoting the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series through its official global social media accounts, marking the first official global appearance of the new flagship lineup. This is particularly important because the previous Xiaomi 17 Pro Series never received a global release, despite attracting considerable attention with its unique rear display.
The official post introduces the phone with the message, “Say hi, World!” Xiaomi also highlights the rear display, saying it has been busy and asking users where they take their favourite selfies from. This confirms that the secondary screen will remain one of the main selling points of the next generation.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Finally Appears in Global Marketing
Xiaomi has not brought its standard Pro flagship model to the global market since the Xiaomi 13 Pro generation. The Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Series did not receive conventional global releases.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Series became particularly popular in China because of its secondary rear display, which offers additional camera and interactive functions. However, international buyers never officially received these devices.
Now, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series could finally change that. Xiaomi has also reportedly cancelled the Xiaomi 18 Ultra, making the Pro lineup even more important in its flagship portfolio.
There were already two previous reports from China suggesting that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series would arrive globally in November. However, the latest social media post marks the first official global promotional appearance of the series.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Global Prices Start at €1,549
Alongside the global teaser, European retailer listings have provided an early look at the reported pricing.
According to Epto listings:
- Xiaomi 18 Pro 256GB: €1,549 (approximately $1,790).
- Xiaomi 18 Pro 512GB: €1,761 (approximately $2,035).
- Xiaomi 18 Pro Max: €1,974 (approximately $2,280).
These are reported retailer prices, not confirmed official European launch prices. Xiaomi has not announced the final pricing or launch date yet.
A dark red colour option has also appeared in the reported listings.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Global Specifications: Only the Battery Changes
One important detail about the global models is their battery capacity. Unlike the Chinese versions, the reported international models will have different battery capacities.
- Xiaomi 18 Pro: 6,000mAh battery.
- Xiaomi 18 Pro Max: 7,050mAh battery.
According to the available specifications, the battery capacity is the only reported hardware difference between the Chinese and global versions. The remaining specifications are expected to stay the same.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Could Be the Only Korean Model
Interestingly, the Korean market appears to have a different launch plan. Current reports suggest that Xiaomi could introduce only the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in South Korea instead of launching both Pro models. This regional difference has not been officially confirmed, so the final Korean lineup remains uncertain.
For now, Xiaomi has not announced an exact global launch date. However, its official social media activity and the earlier November reports suggest that an international introduction could be approaching.
