A new Xiaomi phone with the model number M786BC has completed certification with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on September 18. This device is expected to be the standard version of the REDMI K100 series.
REDMI K100 Product Line Overview
At the REDMI K100 Pro series launch event on August 11, Xiaomi’s China marketing manager Wei Siqi shared the product lineup for the REDMI K100 family. Besides the K100 Pro Max and K100 Pro, the series will include a standard K100 model and a gaming flagship phone.
Leaked Specifications Point to Large Battery and Premium Features
On August 31, tech blogger DCS revealed some specs of an upcoming Xiaomi device with a very large battery capacity, rumored to be part of the REDMI K100 series. The engineering unit reportedly features a high-refresh-rate flat display, dual-processor platform, symmetrical stereo speakers, a relatively large vibration motor, and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanning. It also supports IP68-rated dust and water resistance.
