Roughly a week ago, Xiaomi officially kicked off its Android 17 testing phase, rolling out the highly anticipated HyperOS 3.3 beta to a very exclusive tier of devices. As we approach Google’s expected stable Android 17 release in early June, users are eager to know if their devices make the cut. Based on Xiaomi’s historical update patterns, the initial stable rollout of HyperOS 3.3 will be strictly limited to the devices currently participating in this active beta phase.
The Android 17 Foundation
It is important to understand what HyperOS 3.3 actually is. Just like the HyperOS 2.3 rollout in previous years, HyperOS 3.3 serves purely as a vehicle for the new Android version. The update does not introduce any new visual overhauls, interface changes, or frontend ecosystem features. It is strictly a foundational upgrade to integrate Android 17’s core architecture, ensuring that the latest API levels and background optimizations are fully stable before any major UI changes are introduced later in the year.
HyperOS 3.3 Eligible Devices
Currently, the HyperOS 3.3 (Android 17) beta has only been released for three specific premium devices. The confirmed HyperOS 3.3 eligible devices and their current beta build numbers are:
-
Xiaomi 17 (Build: OS3.0.301.0.WPCMIXM)
-
Xiaomi 17 Ultra (Build: OS3.0.9.0.WPAMIXM)
-
Xiaomi 15T Pro (Build: OS3.0.11.0.WOSMIXM)
(Note: The Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra beta builds are currently active for the Chinese market variants as well.)
If your device is not on the list above, you will not receive the Android 17 update through HyperOS 3.3. All other eligible Xiaomi, REDMI, and POCO devices must wait for the major HyperOS 4 release to receive the Android 17 upgrade.
Because HyperOS 3.3 lacks new visual features, the real-world impact is entirely performance-based. Users installing this update are receiving Android 17’s native enhancements, which include superior background app management, enhanced system security, and more efficient resource allocation. By isolating the Android 17 bump from heavier graphical updates, Xiaomi guarantees a smoother, bug-free transition to the new operating system for its flagship users before the broader HyperOS 4 rollout.

April is gone, and the first week of May is about to end. I think Xiaomi forgot about 13T users who are waiting for HyperOS3. This is disappointing. Very very disappointing.
very dissappointing they not add POCO M7 PRO 5G ACTUALLY GOOD CHIPSET WHY WHY????
