Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo Unveiled at 2026 Beijing Auto Show

The 2026 Beijing Auto Show, which opened on April 24, witnessed the highly anticipated domestic debut of the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo supercar. Following its initial global reveal alongside the Xiaomi 17 series in Barcelona in February, this concept car represents a massive leap in automotive design.

Addressing widespread public praise for the futuristic vehicle, Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun stated clearly that the project is not intended for mass production. Instead, it serves as a platform to let go of all constraints and imagine the future of mobility boldly.

Concept Design

The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo is an engineering marvel focused on absolute performance, radical aerodynamics, and futuristic interaction.

  • Anti-Lift Body Architecture: Reversing traditional aviation principles, the vehicle features an innovative “anti-lift” design. This integrates critical aerodynamic structures directly into the chassis to generate massive, efficient downforce without relying on bulky external wings or attachments.

  • Maximum Aerodynamic Efficiency: Extensive simulated tests reveal a remarkable aerodynamic efficiency rating of 4.1, striking a perfect balance between a lightweight profile and aggressive, high-speed track handling.

  • Biometric Interaction Sensors: Moving beyond standard telemetry, the intelligent cabin is equipped with an array of sensors designed to monitor the driver’s heart rate and physical condition in real-time. This physiological data facilitates true “human-vehicle integration,” theoretically allowing the vehicle’s systems to adapt dynamically to the driver’s state.

  • Aesthetic Engineering: Described by the global design team as being “shaped by the wind,” the exterior is as seamless as a suspended water droplet. Despite the radical shape, it retains signature Xiaomi Auto family design elements, including the distinctive cross-shaped headlights and halo taillights.

Future Development

While the vehicle will not enter consumer production or carry a retail USD price tag, its existence serves as a critical R&D testbed. The aerodynamic breakthroughs and advanced biometric sensors showcased in the Vision Gran Turismo represent the pinnacle of smart mobility. By exploring these future intelligent interactions, Xiaomi is setting a new benchmark for how driver health data and seamless ecosystem integration can improve safety and vehicle responsiveness in future consumer models.
