Xiaomi Launches Mijia Robot Vacuum and Mop 6

Xiaomi has officially expanded its smart home ecosystem with the introduction of the Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum and Mop 6. Released in the Chinese market in April 2026, this flagship cleaning solution sets a new technical benchmark for the industry, specifically targeting households with complex floor plans and high thresholds.

For now, this product has been launched exclusively in China. The standard Water Tank version carries an initial price tag of 2,699 CNY (~$374), while the more advanced Water Supply and Drainage version is positioned at 3,099 CNY (~$429). However, through various national subsidies and “Trade-in” programs, Chinese consumers can currently acquire these models for as low as $263 and $305, respectively.

Technical Specifications and Features

The Mijia Robot Vacuum and Mop 6 is engineered to handle extreme cleaning environments. Its most notable technical achievement is the 40mm obstacle-crossing capability, allowing it to traverse door sills and carpet edges that typically stall standard robot vacuums.

  • Ultra-Thin Profile: At just 90mm thick, the unit is designed to glide under low-clearance furniture like sofas and beds.

  • Extreme Suction: It boasts a massive 28,000Pa suction power, ensuring deep cleaning of crevices and heavy debris.

  • Intelligent Navigation: The system utilizes a dual-camera positioning system for 220-degree obstacle recognition and precise mapping.

  • Ecosystem Integration: Fully compatible with Xiaomi HyperConnect, the vacuum can be controlled via the Xiaomi HyperOS ecosystem, allowing for seamless automation with other smart home devices.

  • Advanced Maintenance: The base station supports 80°C hot water washing for the mop pads and a 2-hour high-temperature drying cycle. It also features a self-emptying dust bin that allows for up to 75 days of hands-free operation.

Product Variants & Pricing Table

Version Launch Price (CNY) Approx. Price (USD) Subsidized Price (USD)
Water Tank Edition 2,699 $374 $263
Water Supply & Drainage Edition 3,099 $430 $306

Note: The “Water Supply and Drainage” version is designed for permanent installation, allowing the unit to automatically refill clean water and discharge wastewater.

Impact on the Smart Home Market

The Mijia Robot Vacuum and Mop 6 represents a significant leap in robotics. By integrating a dual anti-tangling design and intelligent carpet recognition (which automatically lifts the mop to prevent wetting), Xiaomi is addressing the two most common pain points of automated floor care.

Furthermore, the inclusion of Xiaomi HyperConnect ensures that this device isn’t just a vacuum, but a node in a wider AI-driven home. The ability to coordinate cleaning cycles with your departure from home (detected via your smartphone or Xiaomi Band) highlights the maturity of the HyperOS platform.
