Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Introduces Limited-Edition Mother’s Day Watermark

Xiaomi is celebrating Mother’s Day 2026 with a new seasonal camera feature inside Xiaomi HyperOS 3, while Xiaomi Auto stores across China are simultaneously launching a special flower giveaway event for visitors.

The announcement was officially shared by Xiaomi Camera Department Product Manager , revealing that the new “Mother’s Day Limited Watermark” has now fully rolled out for compatible Xiaomi devices running Xiaomi HyperOS 3.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Adds a New Mother’s Day Camera Watermark

The newly introduced Mother’s Day watermark focuses heavily on emotional and aesthetic photography. According to Xiaomi, the design adopts a calming hand-drawn illustration style, combined with kraft paper bouquet elements and colorful carnations in pink, yellow, and orange tones. The interface is further enhanced with warm yellow dot decorations and elegant handwritten “Mother’s Day” typography.

The feature is designed to help users create more personalized family photos directly from the camera app or gallery editing tools.

The promotional images shared by Xiaomi showcase the watermark integrated into portrait photography captured using the Xiaomi 17 Ultra with Leica branding, highlighting Xiaomi’s continued emphasis on emotional mobile photography experiences.

Availability and Supported Versions

Xiaomi confirmed that the Mother’s Day watermark is available immediately and will remain accessible until May 13, 2026.

To use the feature, users must meet the following requirements:

  • Device running Xiaomi HyperOS 3
  • Updated Xiaomi Album – Edit application
  • Minimum app version: 2.3.0

Without updating the gallery editing component, the watermark editing option may not appear inside the system photo editor.

Xiaomi Auto Launches Mother’s Day Flower Giveaway Event

Alongside the software rollout, Xiaomi Auto has also launched a Mother’s Day promotional campaign across its retail stores in China.

From May 9 to May 10, visitors can scan a QR code inside participating Xiaomi Auto stores to receive a complimentary flower gift. Xiaomi stated that every retail location will prepare at least 30 flowers for the event, although availability may vary depending on local participation levels.

Customers interested in the campaign are advised to consult Xiaomi Auto retail advisors directly for detailed participation rules and stock availability.
