Xiaomi has officially raised the prices of several smartphones in China starting August 2 at midnight. The price hikes affect the Xiaomi 17 series, REDMI K90 lineup, and REDMI Turbo 5 models, with increases ranging from 300 to 500 yuan.

- REDMI Turbo 5 Max: from 2,499 yuan to 2,799 yuan

- REDMI K90 Max: from 3,199 yuan to 3,499 yuan
- REDMI K90 Pro Max: from 4,199 yuan to 4,499 yuan
- REDMI K90 Ultra: from 2,999 yuan to 3,299 yuan
- Xiaomi 17: from 4,499 yuan to 4,799 yuan
- Xiaomi 17 Pro: from 4,999 yuan to 5,399 yuan
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: from 5,999 yuan to 6,499 yuan
Xiaomi sales staff around China have reportedly issued internal notices alerting customers to the price changes ahead of the rollout. The Turbo 5 series phones all increased by 300 yuan, while the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max saw a larger jump of 500 yuan.
This update follows earlier raises, where REDMI K90 standard and Pro Max variants already had a 200 yuan increase. The REDMI Turbo 5 removed its prior New Year promotional discount, resulting in a higher effective price.
Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing recently cited industry-wide cost pressures affecting the mobile sector like never before in the past decade. He emphasized that memory price increases, particularly, have been severe—up to four times the Q1 2023 levels. For example, memory configurations with 12GB+512GB grew about 1,500 yuan more expensive, and 16GB+1TB versions surged even higher. These cost points have significantly influenced REDMI’s traditionally aggressive pricing model.
