REDMI K100 Pro and Pro Max Launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite V5 and Giant Batteries

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the new REDMI K100 Pro series in China. The lineup includes the REDMI K100 Pro and the larger REDMI K100 Pro Max, both powered by the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite V5 chip. The phones run HyperOS 3.0 and come with impressive battery capacities and advanced camera setups.

Models, Pricing, and Government Subsidies

The REDMI K100 Pro starts at 3,199 yuan (about $450) after government subsidies on the 12GB+256GB version. Higher RAM and storage options go up to a 16GB+1TB model priced at 5,499 yuan (~$770) with subsidy, limited to 20,000 units. Subsidized prices reflect ongoing government support in China, with discounts up to 15% or fixed coupon amounts depending on product type and price range.

Upgrades in the REDMI K100 Pro Max

The Pro Max model features a larger 6.9-inch OLED flat display with a resolution of 2608×1200, keeping the 185Hz refresh rate and M11 lighting. The cooling area is expanded to 6300mm² for better heat dissipation.

This variant has a triple rear camera setup: 200MP main sensor with OIS, 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and 50MP ultra-wide sensor. Battery capacity steps up to 9,070mAh with identical charging specs. The chassis is slimmer at 8.45mm but heavier at 238g, with a fiberglass rear cover.

Additional enhancements include a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and an upgraded audio system composed of dual 1115D master-grade speakers plus a rear Deco 2016 flat-panel speaker. The setup uses Bose tuning and supports a 2.1 channel system.

Software and Features

Both phones ship with HyperOS 3.1, Xiaomi’s latest system based on Android, delivering smoother performance and system integration. The ultrasonic fingerprint scanner maintains fast and secure unlocking. The robust IP66/IP68/IP69 rating confirms strong dust and water resistance. REDMI K100 Pro will out as POCO F9 Pro, K100 Pro Max will out as POCO F9 Ultra on global markets.
