REDMI Book 2026 Series Launched: Intel Core Ultra 5 and Next-Gen Specs

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the highly anticipated REDMI Book 2026 series, bringing significant performance upgrades and deep ecosystem integration to its laptop lineup. Available in both 14-inch and 16-inch variants, the new generation focuses on raw processing power, high-refresh-rate displays, and seamless cross-device collaboration.

Please note that this product has been launched exclusively in the Chinese market for now. All original pricing has been provided in Chinese Yuan (CNY) and converted to approximate US Dollars (USD) for our global readers.

Technical Specifications & Hardware Upgrades

At the heart of the REDMI Book 2026 series is the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor. Built on the highly efficient Meteor Lake architecture and Intel 4 process, this chip boasts 14 cores (18 threads), a maximum turbo frequency of 4.5 GHz, 112 EUs in its integrated GPU, and an 18MB high-speed cache. Crucially, it includes a dedicated NPU for accelerated AI tasks.

To sustain peak performance, Xiaomi has equipped these laptops with a robust thermal system featuring dual fans and dual heat pipes, allowing the processor to output up to 60W of sustained performance.

Memory, Storage, and Power

  • RAM: All models come standard with high-speed LPDDR5X memory clocked at 7467MT/s.

  • Storage: Support for M.2 SSD expansion ensures future-proofing for users needing massive local storage.

  • Battery: A substantial 80Wh battery keeps the lights on, complemented by a travel-friendly 100W GaN (Gallium Nitride) USB-C power adapter.

Display Specifications

Both models support a fluid 120Hz high refresh rate, but they differ slightly in screen tech to accommodate their form factors:

  • REDMI Book 14 2026: Features a 2.8K (2880 × 1800) glossy screen with an impressive peak brightness of 500 nits. It remains highly portable at approximately 1.49kg.

  • REDMI Book 16 2026: Features a 2.5K (2560 × 1600) glossy screen with 400 nits of brightness, weighing in at approximately 1.86kg.

Comprehensive Connectivity & Ports

As revealed in the official spec sheets, the REDMI Book 2026 refuses to compromise on I/O. Both the 14-inch and 16-inch models feature the exact same versatile port selection:

  • Left Side: 1x 3.5mm Audio Jack, 1x HDMI 2.1 TMDS, 1x Thunderbolt 4, and 1x Full-function USB-C 3.2 Gen2.

  • Right Side: 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen1.

Xiaomi HyperConnect: The “Human, Car, and Home” Ecosystem

A major selling point of the REDMI Book 2026 is its deep integration into the Xiaomi ecosystem via Xiaomi HyperConnect (the global equivalent of Xiaomi Pengpai Zhilian). Running alongside Windows, this enables a suite of smart features designed to unify your tech:

  • Unified Device Center: Monitor and control other connected Xiaomi devices in real-time.

  • Wearable Gesture Control: Use a compatible Xiaomi Band or smart watch to control PPT presentations via hand gestures.

  • Communication Sharing & Network Collaboration: Automatically connect to a vehicle’s hotspot or enable a one-click connection to your phone’s cellular network.

  • Cross-Device Camera: Utilize both your phone and laptop cameras simultaneously during video calls.

  • Peripheral & Call Sharing: Drag and drop files seamlessly between the laptop and a Xiaomi Pad, and answer phone calls directly from the REDMI Book.

I went to China in 2024 and visited Xiaomi and Huawei store. The RedmiBook 2024 was terrible. Display hurt my eyes. Huawei laptop in similar category had better screens. I wonder if the RedmiBook 2026 still uses the same display or supplier since it’s still the same 2880×1800 resolution.
