Poco has announced the upcoming Poco F9 series, featuring two models based closely on the REDMI K100 Pro and REDMI K100 Pro Max. The main differences lie in battery capacity, with the Poco F9 Pro housing a 6,330mAh battery, while the F9 Ultra boasts a larger 8,050mAh unit.

Display and Hardware Specifications
The POCO F9 Pro sports a 6.59-inch OLED screen with a high 185Hz refresh rate. The F9 Ultra steps up with a 6.85-inch OLED display, offering a 2608×1200 resolution and matching the 185Hz refresh rate. Both models use TCL CSOT panels protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Powering these phones is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, with CPU speeds reaching up to 4.6GHz. Memory options include 12GB and 16GB RAM configurations, combined with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
Camera and Audio Features
The F9 Pro is equipped with a triple telephoto lens system centered around a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), supporting 3x optical zoom. The F9 Ultra enhances this with up to 5x equivalent optical zoom and also includes OIS.
Both models come with a Bose speaker system for superior audio quality. Unique to the F9 Ultra is an LED notification ring built into the camera area, offering a distinctive alert system.
Build and Offers
Structurally, the POCO F9 phones feature a metal frame. Ahead of launch, users can take advantage of special promotions, such as discounts up to about $310 and 500 Mi Points on pre-orders.
An additional offer includes a free screen replacement once within six months for accidental display damage when purchased between September 1 and September 23. New subscribers can also receive a $25 coupon.
This generation of POCO F9 devices effectively repurposes the reliable REDMI K100 Pro hardware, with enhancements mainly in battery size and some new design touches like the LED notification ring on the Ultra model.
