REDMI K200 series may get 7-Inch 2K flat display with high refresh rate

A new leak suggests that the upcoming REDMI K200 series could feature a 7-inch 2K flat display. The information was shared by Chinese tech blogger Digital Chat Station, who mentions this as part of a new flagship development under a mysterious sub-brand line linked to REDMI.

The screen is said to support an ultra-high refresh rate and LIPO four-sided symmetrical battery technology. The choice of a 7-inch display reportedly comes from market research indicating strong user preference for this size.

Context from Current REDMI K100 Series

For comparison, the current REDMI K100 Pro Max model launched in August offers a 6.9-inch OLED flat panel with a resolution of 2608 × 1200 pixels. It features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (fifth generation), LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage, along with a sizable 9070mAh battery. It debuted starting around 4499 CNY (about $620) in China.

This new rumored 7-inch display could position the upcoming device as a “large flagship” in REDMI’s lineup, appealing to users who prefer bigger flat screens without curves.

Expectations and Unconfirmed Details

At this stage, Xiaomi has not confirmed the development or specifics about the REDMI K200 series. The information about the screen size and technology is based solely on the leak. Details like the chipset, battery capacity, and pricing remain unknown.

Considering the R&D cycle and timing, this large-screen flagship might launch sometime after the K100 series, possibly focusing on users who value screen real estate and high refresh rates for gaming or media consumption.
