HyperOS Launcher 7 released for Android 14+ devices

%A significant milestone in the evolution of the Xiaomi ecosystem has surfaced today. The latest Xiaomi HyperOS System Launcher, transitioning to Version 7.0, has been successfully extracted and made available for enthusiasts. This specific build, sourced from early Android 17 Beta environments, signals the beginning of Xiaomi’s foundational work for the next generation of its user interface.

While the version jump from 4.x or 5.x to 7.x is substantial, this release focuses primarily on back-end compatibility and framework preparation rather than visual overhauls.

Under the Hood of Version 7.0

The new update, carrying the build number RELEASE-7.00.00.2258-04231925, was originally extracted from the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Despite its origins in a future-facing Android 17 development branch, technical testing confirms that the package is highly stable on current stable builds of Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1.

The primary objective of this release appears to be API alignment with upcoming Android standards. While users will not find new icons, widgets, or animation styles in this specific iteration, the launcher provides a smoother bridge for system services and Xiaomi HyperConnect integration. Our internal testing confirms that the “zero-feature” state is common for early-stage major version jumps, as Xiaomi typically stabilizes the core architecture before layering new UI elements.

Affected Devices and Compatibility

The HyperOS Launcher v7.0 has undergone rigorous testing across multiple generations of Xiaomi hardware to ensure stability. It is confirmed to be bug-free on the following tested models:

  • Xiaomi 17 Ultra (Native Source)

  • Xiaomi 15 Pro

  • Xiaomi 12

  • And all other REDMI and POCO devices devices running Android 14+

Users of legacy devices should ensure they are at least on Android 14 before attempting the sideload to avoid package parsing errors or boot loops.

Installation Safety

For the global community, this update represents a “pre-alpha” look at the stability of future system components. Because this version was extracted from a flagship Ultra model, it is optimized for high-refresh-rate displays and high-performance processors, though it maintains excellent backward compatibility with older flagships like the Xiaomi 12.

There are currently no reported bugs, making this a safe “early adopter” update for those who want to ensure their system remains on the absolute latest codebase provided by Xiaomi’s development teams.

Hate to break it to you but the download is bugged for the launcher’s Version 7. Keeps saying I’m opening the download page directly even though i’m going thru the version list first AND THEN the download.
