Xiaomi has published the first official list of devices that support the new Soft Light Glass effect in HyperOS 4. The list currently covers Chinese-market devices, but equivalent Global models based on the same hardware are also expected to support the feature.
HyperOS 4 was introduced today, August 14, 2026, and Xiaomi has already started beta distribution in China. The first beta wave includes the Xiaomi 17 series, REDMI K90 series, and Xiaomi Pad 8 series.

Equivalent Global Models Should Also Get the Feature
There is one important detail in Xiaomi’s current list: Global POCO and Xiaomi rebrands are not shown separately.
The list is based mainly on Chinese product names. Because several Global devices share the same platform and hardware with the listed Chinese models, their equivalent Global versions are also expected to support Soft Light Glass.
For example:
- REDMI K70 Ultra → Xiaomi 14T Pro
- REDMI K80 Ultra → Xiaomi 15T Pro
- REDMI Turbo models may correspond to selected Global POCO models
- REDMI K-series models may also have related POCO equivalents depending on the generation
This should still be treated as an expected compatibility relationship, not a separate official Global list. Xiaomi has not yet published a dedicated Soft Light Glass compatibility table for Global models.
HyperOS 4 Beta Starts Today in China
The Soft Light Glass list was published on the same day HyperOS 4 entered its first public beta stage in China.
As of August 14, beta builds are available for:
- Xiaomi 17 series
- REDMI K90 series
- Xiaomi Pad 8 series
These devices are among the first to demonstrate the full HyperOS 4 visual system, including new Glass materials, redesigned widgets, lock-screen changes, and other interface effects. Global stable development has also started on Xiaomi’s servers, but public Global HyperOS 4 rollout dates have not yet been announced.
