Black Shark appears to be moving further away from the Xiaomi ecosystem after access to the Black Shark Community was reportedly closed and all Black Shark products disappeared from Xiaomi Mall and Xiaomi Youpin. The development was first highlighted after a technical support engineer from Nanchang Black Shark Technology Co., Ltd. posted on June 19 that Black Shark had officially closed access to its community platform. While the community is not fully offline yet, several functions are already broken, suggesting a major service transition for existing users.
What happened to Black Shark Community?
According to the latest reports, Black Shark Community access has been officially marked as closed by a Black Shark technical support engineer. However, the situation is not a simple full shutdown. The platform can still be opened in some cases, and new posts have reportedly continued to appear.
The real issue is that the community no longer works properly. Some key functions are unavailable, while user avatars, pictures, and other visual assets are failing to load correctly. This indicates that Black Shark may have already started shutting down or separating parts of its online service infrastructure.
This is important because Black Shark Community was one of the main software and support channels for Black Shark gaming phone users. If the platform loses core functions, users may face difficulties with community support, firmware discussions, bug reports, and product-related announcements.
Xiaomi Mall removes all Black Shark products
The bigger signal comes from Xiaomi’s own retail ecosystem. Black Shark products are no longer searchable on Xiaomi Mall, and they are also reportedly unavailable through Xiaomi Youpin. This means Xiaomi’s official sales channels no longer actively list Black Shark devices or accessories.
For a brand that originally launched with Xiaomi backing and had strong retail visibility through Xiaomi channels, this is a major change. Black Shark was historically treated as a Xiaomi-backed gaming brand, but the latest removal suggests that the brand is no longer being positioned as part of Xiaomi’s active consumer hardware lineup.
Why this matters for Xiaomi and Black Shark users
This move strongly suggests that Black Shark is no longer operating as a visible part of Xiaomi’s mainstream product ecosystem. Recent Black Shark tablets and accessories had already shown signs of independence, especially because some newer products used a more standard AOSP-style software experience instead of Xiaomi’s typical HyperOS-based interface.
That change matters for users because Xiaomi ecosystem integration is often one of the biggest advantages of Xiaomi-backed products. When a device is deeply connected with Xiaomi’s platform, users usually expect better compatibility with Xiaomi services, stronger software continuity, official retail availability, and easier support access.
If Black Shark continues operating outside Xiaomi’s main ecosystem, future products may rely more on Black Shark’s own software, service, and sales channels instead of Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, or Xiaomi HyperOS infrastructure.
