Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 17T series will launch in China on June 8, bringing both the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro to the domestic market as “all-around imaging flagships.” The series has already appeared overseas, but its China launch is important because Xiaomi is positioning the T-series closer to its main flagship lineup, with Leica-tuned cameras, large silicon-carbon batteries, high-brightness AMOLED displays, and MediaTek Dimensity flagship platforms.
Xiaomi 17T Pro brings the stronger flagship package
The Xiaomi 17T Pro is the more premium model in the series. It features a larger 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1-nit ultra-dim brightness, and up to 3500 nits peak brightness. The display also uses a 12-bit OLED panel with a 1280p+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, making it clearly more advanced than the standard model.
Under the hood, the Pro model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, paired with 12GB of RAM. It also includes a massive 7000mAh Xiaomi silicon-carbon battery, 100W wired HyperCharge, and 50W wireless HyperCharge, giving it a major advantage for users who want flagship-level endurance and faster charging.
Xiaomi 17T focuses on compact flagship imaging
The standard Xiaomi 17T keeps the same core identity but uses a more compact body. It comes with a 6.59-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3500 nits peak brightness. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra and includes 12GB of RAM.
Battery capacity is also impressive for the regular model, with a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery and 67W HyperCharge. This makes the Xiaomi 17T a strong option for users who want Leica imaging and long battery life without moving to the larger Pro model.
Leica camera system is the main highlight
Both Xiaomi 17T models are built around Leica imaging. The phones feature a 50MP main camera, Leica Summilux optical lens, optical image stabilization, and Leica UltraPure optical design. They also support Leica 5x telephoto, which Xiaomi is heavily promoting under the “Telephoto Master” slogan.
The main difference is the sensor. The Xiaomi 17T Pro uses a larger 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 950 main sensor with 1.2μm pixels, while the Xiaomi 17T uses a 1/1.55-inch Light Fusion 800 sensor with 1.0μm pixels. Both models support 4K 60fps video, HDR10+, and Log video options, giving users more flexibility for mobile content creation.

European pricing gives a clue before China pricing
The Xiaomi 17T reportedly starts at €749, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro starts at €899 in Europe. Based on a recent EUR/USD rate of around 1 EUR = $1.1663, this equals approximately $874 for the Xiaomi 17T and $1,048 for the Xiaomi 17T Pro before regional taxes and market adjustments.
However, Xiaomi has not yet confirmed official Chinese pricing. Since China pricing is usually more aggressive than European pricing, the June 8 launch will be important for understanding where Xiaomi wants to position the 17T series against domestic flagship competitors.
