Xiaomi has nearly finalized the August 2026 Android security update for dozens of smartphones and tablets. Firmware builds containing the new security patch are now ready for release across the Global, EEA, India, Taiwan, Indonesia, Russia, Turkey, and China regions.
The upcoming rollout covers a massive range of devices. It includes the latest premium hardware running HyperOS 3.0 and older generation models that remain on the HyperOS 2.0 branch.
August Patch Precedes the Official Bulletin
Xiaomi is preparing these firmware updates ahead of Google’s official Android Security Bulletin. Because the August 2026 bulletin has not yet been published on the Android Open Source Project site, the specific CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) fixes included in this patch are currently unknown.
Once Google publishes the bulletin, the technical details regarding exactly which Android framework and kernel vulnerabilities have been addressed will become clear.

Xiaomi releases security patches in stages, meaning not all regions and devices will receive the OTA update at the same time.
