Xiaomi starts Global HyperOS 4 releases with POCO F8 Pro

Xiaomi has released the first global HyperOS 4 build, with the POCO F8 Pro receiving firmware version OS4.0.2.0.XPKMIXM. The update package is approximately 8.4 GB, marking the first appearance of HyperOS 4 on the global software channel.

HyperOS 4 introduces a redesigned interface with a new Soft Light Glass design language, updated lock screen, stacked widgets and improved home screen customization. Xiaomi also highlights performance improvements, including reduced system workload, better memory management and fewer animation stutters during extended use.

The update brings AI-powered features such as smarter voice recording, cross-app task automation, live activity notifications and improved interactions between Xiaomi devices. However, some AI capabilities rely on China’s Super XiaoAi infrastructure, so their availability in the global version remains uncertain.
