Xiaomi has confirmed that its upcoming 18 Pro series will feature the new Leica 2 billion pixel (200MP) large sensor periscope telephoto lens with dual-size support. The announcement marks the first time this device line will launch globally.
The Leica telephoto system uses a 1/1.56″ large sensor and offers a native 75mm focal length, which is considered an ideal “golden” focal distance for portrait and zoom photography. It supports 3.2X optical zoom and up to 12.8X lossless zoom. The lens assembly includes a dual-group floating focus structure, allowing for a macro telephoto mode with a minimum focus distance of 12cm.
