Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Sterilizing Foot Bath 2, now available for pre-order in China at a launch price of 409 yuan (about $57), slightly below the official price of 419 yuan. The complementary foot bath medicine pack will go on sale starting September 22 for 59 yuan (about $8). The product is currently announced for the Chinese market.
Advanced Ultraviolet Sterilization and Massage Features
This new foot bath features a patented pipe sterilization system. Unlike direct UV exposure, the ultraviolet components are placed deep inside the water pipe. This design achieves a 99.9% sterilization rate for the internal water channel and has received certification from official testing bodies, reducing the risk associated with UV light.
The massage system has been upgraded to a three-zone design. It targets different foot areas with specific techniques: rolling massage for the sole, finger pressure for the arch, and point pressing for the heel. The device uses a TPE silicone massage pad that gently conforms to the foot’s curves for enhanced comfort.
Adjustable Rainfall Sprinkler and Enhanced Design
The foot bath includes an adjustable-height rainfall sprinkling system. Powered by a centrifugal pump, water pressure is increased and delivered through the sprinkler nozzles, producing a gentle rain-like flow that massages the calf. The height of the rainfall can be set to three levels: above, at, or below the water surface.
The basin’s height has increased by 6.7% from the previous version, reaching 382mm, allowing deeper soaking up to the calves when filled. With a total power consumption of 950W, the device uses a DPS heater and NTC intelligent temperature control for rapid heating and stable temperature maintenance.
Temperature Control and Safety Measures
The foot bath supports wide temperature adjustment between 35°C and 48°C, adjustable in 1°C increments. It includes an intelligent timer with settings ranging from 5 to 60 minutes and offers automatic memory for user preferences.
Safety is covered by seven layers of electrical heating protection: DPS water-electric separation heating protection, leakage protection, over-temperature protection, low-temperature scald prevention, dry burn protection, electric control protection, and electromagnetic protection.
Practical Design and Convenience Features
The product is equipped with a concealed retractable handle for easy transport. It has a combination of fixed forward wheels with lock and omnidirectional wheels at the base for effortless mobility. A low drainage outlet allows for quick emptying by simply opening the lid. The massage discs are fully covered with TPE silicone, and the device features a removable and washable filter. Cable management is supported with built-in winding capability.
