A leak from Chinese blogger DCS reveals details about a new 13-inch flagship tablet, reportedly from Xiaomi. This model is said to offer a soft-light screen version with a red color option. The engineering sample starts with 8GB of RAM, while higher-end configurations include 16GB RAM paired with either 512GB or 1TB of storage.
The tablet features a sizable battery rated at over 10,000mAh and supports 120W fast charging. It weighs approximately 650 grams. This model will likely serve as an affordable option to experience Xiaomi’s next-generation system-on-chip (SoC).
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max to Debut with XRING O3 AI SoC
Xiaomi has officially announced the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, set for a September launch. This tablet will be the first to use the XRING O3 AI flagship chipset, which Xiaomi touts as their most powerful for productivity-focused tablets.
The XRING O3’s CPU features a 10-core all-large-core design, with 6 super-large cores and 4 large cores reaching up to 4.35GHz. According to Xiaomi, the chip achieves a multi-core score above 15,000, marking a 60% jump in performance. Its GPU is the first to use a 16-core G2-Ultra NX graphics processor supporting third-generation ray tracing, delivering 85% better performance with 64% lower power consumption.
As of now, Xiaomi has not revealed the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max’s design or appearance.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Specification Leak
Additional leaks about the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro show that it will have a 12.5-inch LCD screen with 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (SM8845) chip. It will feature an 11,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
Availability and Next Steps
Xiaomi has confirmed the Pad 9 Pro Max’s debut this September, but the new 13-inch soft-light screen variant remains unconfirmed. Launch details and pricing for the 13-inch model are not yet available.
