Xiaomi has unveiled the Watch S5 41mm during its fall product launch event. The smartwatch debuts with the new HyperOS 4 for wearable devices. It also features an upgraded WeChat app for China and starts at a price of 1,299 yuan (about $180) in China.

The Watch S5 41mm adopts a classic wristwatch design, weighing just 36 grams and measuring 0.99cm in thickness. It aims to provide a near weightless wearing experience. The device offers precise female health monitoring, including accurate cycle prediction using three wrist temperature sensors. It also gives scientific exercise recommendations adjusted according to the wearer’s physiological changes.
The watch includes dietary calorie management by calculating calorie deficits, alongside a unique dual-band ultraviolet radiation monitoring feature aimed at improving sun protection.
Colors and Materials
Xiaomi introduces a new “Ceramic White” color option featuring a glossy ceramic bezel with a smooth and refined touch. It sports a diamond-shaped crown with 24 fine sculpted facets. Additional color options include “Sea Salt Blue” and “Mint Green,” both outfitted with soft and durable fluoro rubber straps.
Software Enhancements and Ecosystem Integration
HyperOS 4 brings dynamic watch faces such as the animated “Pet” dial that interacts with time, weather, and stress levels. Xiaomi upgraded the WeChat app on the watch to support voice-to-text input. The built-in voice assistant “Super Xiao Ai” now supports quick voice commands and encyclopedic Q&A directly from the wrist.
The watch also tightly integrates with Xiaomi’s ecosystem. It adds new active reminders when connected to Xiaomi cars and can link to Xiaomi smart locks to display lock camera footage on the watch screen.

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm is priced starting at 1,299 yuan. The launch is currently specific to China following the fall event, with no confirmed global release details yet.
