Xiaomi has confirmed that its new SkyNomad N90 and N70 SUV series will officially launch in China in September. Pre-orders open tonight at 9 PM with a refundable 1,000 yuan deposit. Customers who reserve a vehicle will receive priority production scheduling and a free dual-cup-holder car table valued at 999 yuan.
The N90 Max starts at 299,900 yuan (around $42,000), while the N70 Max starts at 259,900 yuan (around $36,000).
Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max is a large seven-seat range-extender SUV
The SkyNomad N90 Max is a 2+2+3-seat extended-range SUV measuring 5,285 mm long, 1,998 mm wide and 1,825 mm tall, with a 3,080 mm wheelbase.
Xiaomi claims a 464 km CLTC electric-only range and a 1,705 km CLTC combined range. Its range-extender powertrain supports 92, 95 and 98 octane fuel, while claimed depleted-battery consumption is 6.26 L/100 km under WLTC.
The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system produces up to 310 kW, enabling a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds and a 190 km/h top speed. Xiaomi also says a 15-minute charge can add up to 285 km of range, with a 20–80% charge taking as little as 18 minutes.
N70 Max offers a five-seat, flexible cabin
The smaller SkyNomad N70 Max is a five-seat all-wheel-drive SUV with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. It measures 4,960 × 1,998 × 1,765 mm.
Its 76 kWh Xiaomi Dragon Armor battery and 45-litre fuel tank deliver a claimed 505 km CLTC electric range and 1,461 km CLTC combined range. Xiaomi lists fuel consumption at 6.1 L/100 km WLTC with the battery depleted.
The N70 Max also has dual motors with 310 kW output. Xiaomi’s promotional material claims 5.5 seconds from 0–100 km/h, although an earlier announcement listed 5.9 seconds. The top speed is 190 km/h.
Its second row slides to create up to 1,410 mm of seating space or 2,425 litres of expanded cargo space. A flat floor and long seat rails are central to its “variable-space SUV” positioning.
Xiaomi HAD and LiDAR-equipped driver assistance
Both Max models include Xiaomi HAD driver assistance as standard. The N70 Max is equipped with forward-facing LiDAR, 4D millimetre-wave radar, a 4 nm cockpit chip and a 700 TOPS assisted-driving chip.
The N90 Max adds rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, with Xiaomi claiming up to 2 cm ranging accuracy. It also uses the NVIDIA Thor automotive platform, a third-generation Snapdragon 8 platform and Xiaomi’s XLA cognitive model.
The N90 Max’s available equipment includes a 21.4-inch 3K rear entertainment screen, two phone slots, four cup holders, a 6.6-litre refrigerator and a sliding 9-litre compressor refrigerator. The N70 Max can be specified with rotating front seats, zero-gravity seats, a sliding centre island, rear screen, refrigerator and electric welcome steps. The series is currently announced for China. Xiaomi has not confirmed international availability.
