Xiaomi has introduced the Mi Home Night Light 4, now available for pre-order at a crowdfunding price of 59 yuan (about $8). The official retail price is set at 79 yuan (around $11). The crowdfunding campaign starts on September 9.
Enhanced Radar Sensor and Motion Detection
The Mi Home Night Light 4 upgrades its sensor to a 24GHz radar with a 120° wide-angle field of view. It can accurately detect subtle human movements within 3 meters directly ahead and 2.5 meters to the side. In dark environments, the light automatically turns on when it senses presence and turns off 10 seconds after the person leaves.
Lighting and Battery Features
This night light uses rear-facing light that reflects off walls, creating a soft and diffused warm light without blue light hazards or visible flicker. It offers four brightness levels: 1lm, 3lm, 5lm, and 15lm, adjustable to user preference.
Powering the device is an 800mAh lithium battery with Type-C charging support. Thanks to low-power algorithms, the night light can run up to 8 months on a full charge under typical use. At the highest brightness setting, battery life lasts around 3 months.
The Mi Home Night Light 4 is currently announced for the Chinese market. Users interested in the device can find the official purchase link on Xiaomi’s shopping platform. Feature and availability may vary by region.
