Why Is the Price Increasing?
The reported price increase isn’t exclusive to Xiaomi. The smartphone industry has been dealing with rising component costs throughout 2026, particularly for high-performance memory chips and next-generation flagship processors. Industry analysts have pointed to increasing DRAM and NAND flash prices, alongside more expensive premium chipsets, as major reasons manufacturers are raising retail prices.
