The REDMI K100 standard edition is expected to bring Xiaomi’s largest battery yet, dual Bose speakers, and a dedicated graphics chip. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming phone will focus on practical hardware rather than flashy features and is expected to fall in the 3,500 yuan price range.
REDMI K100 Targets the 500 USD Price Segment
Digital Chat Station shared new details about the REDMI K100 standard edition’s hardware on October 14. The tipster claims the phone will feature the largest battery among Xiaomi products, alongside a dedicated graphics chip, a relatively large vibration motor, and dual Bose speakers.
The new leak pointed to a 10,000mAh battery and 100W fast charging.
Snapdragon Chip and Memory Costs Push Up the Price
The tipster said that a configuration combining a Snapdragon 8 Ultra processor, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage already costs around 3,000 yuan. Based on this pricing, the REDMI K100 standard edition is expected to sit in the 3,500 yuan segment.
Digital Chat Station also attributed the higher cost of upcoming phones to rising memory prices. The tipster explained that comparing the REDMI K100 with older models such as the REDMI K80 Pro is misleading because component costs have changed.
The processor name and memory configuration mentioned in the discussion have not been confirmed as the final specifications of the REDMI K100.
REDMI K100 Already Supports 100W Charging
The REDMI K100 standard edition was previously linked to Xiaomi model number M786BC. The device passed China’s 3C certification on October 12, confirming support for 100W fast charging. It will be a China only device.
Xiaomi previously outlined plans for a REDMI K100 lineup that includes the standard edition, K100 Pro, K100 Pro Max, and a gaming flagship. Pricing and launch details for the standard model have not yet been officially announced.
