New Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro rumored to pack 11000mAh battery

A leak reveals partial specifications of a new Xiaomi tablet, widely believed to be the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro. The device is said to feature a 12.5-inch LCD screen with 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It reportedly runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen5 (SM8845) chipset. The tablet will pack a large 11,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

This positions the Pad 9 Pro just below the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, which is scheduled for an official launch in September. The Pro Max model will debut with Xiaomi’s latest XRING O3 AI flagship processor, designed for high-end productivity. Xiaomi has not yet shared official images or a full design of either new tablet.

How old is Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro SoC?

Snapdragon 8 Gen5, introduced in November last year, is built on a 3nm process and features a CPU with two 3.8GHz prime cores plus six 3.32GHz performance cores. The XRING O3 chip powering the Pro Max offers a ten-core CPU with six extra-large and four large cores, reaching up to 4.35GHz and delivering a 60% performance boost in multi-core scores. It also houses a new 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU with third-generation ray tracing support and improved power efficiency.
