Xiaomi has introduced its official UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) designed for its smart storage devices. The new Xiaomi Smart Storage Power Outage Protection UPS is now available for 349 yuan, which is about $50. As of this report, the product has not yet appeared on popular platforms like JD.com.
Key Features of the UPS
The UPS includes an 18Wh lithium-ion battery and offers three main functions:
- Power Outage Protection: Enables safe shutdown during unexpected power loss to protect data integrity.
- Automatic Power Resume: Automatically powers the device back on once electricity is restored, requiring no manual intervention.
- Easy Plug-and-Play: Functions without additional USB connections, making it simple to use right out of the box.

This UPS complements Xiaomi’s smart storage lineup, which recently saw strong crowdfunding support. The storage device features 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage, a 2.5G network port, and offers up to 40Mbps free remote access speeds.
