Xiaomi has introduced a new Mi Home Smart Lumbar and Back Massager available in black and light sand colors. The device is priced at 699 yuan (about $98) and will begin crowdfunding on October 12, with a crowdfunding price of 509 yuan (around $71).
Extended Flexible Rail and Massage Coverage
The massager features an elongated 450mm flexible dual-rail system. The massage heads automatically move up and down along both sides of the spine, covering from the shoulder blade area down to the lower back and sacral region. The rails are curved with a radius of 550mm, designed according to national standards to fit the natural curve of the waist and back.
Massage Heads and Modes
Inside the device, there are two large and two small high-resilience massage heads arranged at different heights to simulate finger pressure massage. It offers seven preset massage modes and allows users to customize three additional modes via the Mi Home app.
App Control and Localized Massage
When connected to the Mi Home app, users can control the massager remotely, including activating localized massage where the heads move back and forth in a small area to relieve muscle fatigue. In addition to app control, the device has physical buttons on the side for direct operation without the app.
Graphene Heating Feature
The device includes a built-in graphene heating plate that provides heat over a 10,000mm² area. The heat function can be used separately or alongside the massage.
Design and Battery
Weighing 2.2kg and less than 75mm thick, the massager can fit snugly against the lumbar curve when not in use, doubling as a backrest. It can also be placed under the legs for calf muscle massage. The massage heads automatically retract when the device is idle to avoid discomfort. Power comes from a built-in 3,150mAh lithium battery, charged via a 1.5m Type-C cable.
