Xiaomi HyperOS 4 weekly beta update changelog announced

Xiaomi has delivered two system updates to the HyperOS 4 Beta version so far. These updates mainly improve user interactions like desktop swiping, gesture controls, and window switching. They also enhance system apps such as the Gallery, Notes, and input method.

Super Xiao Ai 2.0 Upgrades Arrive in Version 8.2

The phone app “Super Xiao Ai” received an upgrade to version 8.2 on August 28. Users on HyperOS 4 Beta can install this update through the Xiaomi App Store under “My apps – App upgrades.” The rollout is staged and expected to complete within five days.

Two new key features launched with this update:

  • Code Recognition to Super Island: When viewing pages that display codes like pickup, queue, delivery, or return codes, users can swipe up with three fingers. Super Xiao Ai then automatically detects and adds these codes to Xiaomi’s “Super Island” interface, allowing quick access even on the lock screen. Multiple Super Islands can be enabled. Users should verify “three-finger swipe up” gesture is enabled under Settings → Xiaomi Hyper AI → Super Xiao Ai → Super Xiao Ai Memory.
  • Car Preparation Voice Command: By logging into the car owner’s Xiaomi account and enabling “expert mode” in Super Xiao Ai, users can simply say commands like “I am going out, prepare the car.” Super Xiao Ai adjusts cabin settings based on the current temperature, managing air conditioning and seat ventilation or heating automatically, then sends a notification when done.

The first batch of devices that applied and were approved for HyperOS 4 Beta have received the full update. This group includes:

Eligible users can check for the update under Settings → My Device. Xiaomi prioritizes early applicants for the beta and expects all approved users to receive the beta within 10 days. Because this is beta software, users are advised to back up their data before upgrading and expect possible app incompatibility and temporary performance issues like device heating. For main devices, waiting for the stable version is recommended.

This update continues Xiaomi’s phased approach to expanding HyperOS 4 beta testing, focusing on system fluidity and AI assistant usability improvements. Users can monitor update status through the MemeOS Enhancer app and find firmware packages at MemeOSUpdates.com. Availability may vary by device and region.
