Xiaomi has enhanced the HyperOS 4 system with an upgrade to its Super Xiao AI assistant, enabling chat synchronization between phones and computers. The feature allows users to seamlessly continue conversations on a new device without losing context.
Continuity and File Searching Across Devices
In practical use, if a user switches devices, ongoing tasks and chats with Super Xiao AI move with them. Even when the computer is not nearby, users can use their phone’s voice command to quickly locate files stored on the PC.
Task Handover and Intelligent Assistant Improvements
The update also supports handing over tasks between devices. For instance, users can start a task on their phone and continue it on another device without interruption.
This follows Xiaomi’s October 2026 introduction of Super Xiao AI as an all-ecosystem smart assistant within HyperOS 2. The assistant supports advanced features such as document and schedule tracking, intelligent screen content extraction, and local data management.
Expert Mode Brings Complex Task Planning and Ecosystem Control
Most recently, Xiaomi launched the “Expert Mode” for Super Xiao AI on HyperOS 4. This mode enables users to autonomously plan complex multi-step tasks across apps. It also integrates control over multiple ecosystem devices like cars and smart home products, triggered by a single voice command.
Additionally, Expert Mode can remember recurring tasks and send timely reminders when they are due. This cross-device capability enhances the seamless integration of Xiaomi’s AI assistant across its ecosystem products, focusing on smoother user workflows and device collaboration.
