Xiaomi clip-on earbuds supports LHDC 5.0 and AI call noise reduction

Xiaomi has officially revealed major new details about its upcoming clip-on wireless earbuds ahead of their launch later this month. The company not only confirmed the lightweight open-ear design and flagship-level audio technologies, but also officially announced that the earbuds will debut together with the Xiaomi 17 Max during Lu Weibing’s upcoming “Max Summer” live event.

The new teasers show that Xiaomi is positioning these earbuds as a premium wearable audio product focused on comfort, privacy, and high-end sound quality rather than simply another budget TWS release.

Xiaomi focuses heavily on comfort and lightweight design

According to Xiaomi’s official information, each earbud weighs only 5.5 grams, making them significantly lighter than many traditional wireless earbuds currently on the market.

The company states that the earbuds use:

  • Bionic curve ergonomic structure
  • High-performance memory titanium wire
  • Optimized clamping spacing
  • Open-ear clip-on form factor

Xiaomi says this design allows the earbuds to wrap around the ear gently while maintaining secure positioning during extended daily use.

Unlike conventional in-ear products, the new earbuds are designed for all-day comfort without creating pressure inside the ear canal. This makes them especially suitable for:

  • Outdoor activities
  • Office environments
  • Walking and fitness
  • Long listening sessions
  • Multi-tasking usage

Flagship-level audio hardware officially confirmed

Xiaomi has also confirmed several high-end audio technologies for the earbuds, suggesting they are targeting the premium audio segment instead of entry-level wearable audio products.

The earbuds reportedly feature:

  • Large 11mm driver unit
  • Microcrystalline metal-coated diaphragm
  • LHDC 5.0 high-resolution wireless transmission
  • Hi-Res Gold audio certification
  • High-definition audio decoding

These specifications indicate that Xiaomi is emphasizing both audio detail and wireless transmission quality for the new product.

The company also confirmed a sophisticated voice communication system featuring:

  • Triple microphone array
  • VPU hardware processing
  • AI-powered call noise reduction algorithms
  • Reverse sound wave leakage prevention technology

The reverse sound wave system is particularly interesting because Xiaomi claims it helps prevent audio leakage, improving user privacy in public environments.

Xiaomi 17 Max event will introduce the earbuds officially

Lu Weibing has now officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Max and the new clip-on earbuds will both appear during tomorrow’s “Max Summer” outdoor camping livestream event scheduled for 5 PM.

In addition to the smartphone and earbuds, Xiaomi is also expected to introduce several new AIoT ecosystem products, including:

  • Mijia air conditioners
  • Mijia refrigerators
  • Robot vacuum cleaners
  • Air purifiers
  • Additional smart home products

This suggests Xiaomi is preparing a large-scale ecosystem-focused summer launch strategy centered around the “Max” branding.

China launch expected first before global expansion

The new Xiaomi clip-on earbuds are not available for sale yet. Current information indicates that Xiaomi will initially release the product in China before expanding availability to global markets later.

With both Gold and Pearl White variants already teased publicly, Xiaomi appears to be positioning the earbuds as a fashionable premium wearable accessory within its Xiaomi HyperOS and Xiaomi HyperConnect ecosystem.
