Xiaomi 15 series HyperOS 4 Beta rolls out with Android 17

Xiaomi has expanded its HyperOS 4 beta program to include additional devices, specifically the Xiaomi 17 Max and 15 Ultra. This new batch of the beta update is available only to users who have joined and passed the official recruitment process.

Details of the Beta Expansion

The update announcement was made on August 27, with a notable removal of the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 from the previously expected list of beta devices. The current rollout targets select models, including the Xiaomi 17 Max and 15 Ultra, following the initial recruitment phase that began on August 13. Earlier, the Xiaomi 17 and REDMI K90 series were among the first cohorts to receive invitations to test the new OS.

Xiaomi’s Focus for HyperOS 4

Xiaomi outlined three core upgrades for HyperOS 4 this year:

  • Seamless and smooth basic experience: Delivering a stable, fluid interface where users can easily complete tasks without interruption.
  • Efficient functional upgrades: Enhancing usability and cross-device convenience beyond aesthetics.
  • Integrated AI ecosystem collaboration: Developing an AI that works across multiple devices and applications to fulfill user needs effortlessly.

These goals indicate Xiaomi’s intention to improve not only system performance but also interoperability and AI capabilities within its ecosystem.

Participation and Availability

At present, the HyperOS 4 beta is limited to recruited testers for the mentioned devices. Xiaomi has not provided a public timeline for wider or stable release phases. Users interested in HyperOS 4 testing must join official recruitment channels and meet the eligibility requirements.
