After a noticeable delay in the rollout schedule, the Xiaomi 13T is finally gearing up to join the latest generation of Xiaomi’s software ecosystem. While its premium sibling, the Xiaomi 13T Pro, received HyperOS 3 update two months ago—and even the older Xiaomi 12T Pro was updated a month and a half ago—the standard Xiaomi 13T was left waiting.
Fortunately, our internal tracking has just detected a finalized, publication-ready build on Xiaomi’s official OTA servers. While the update is not live yet, this server-side discovery indicates that the official public rollout is expected to begin as early as the first week of April. This will be last Android update of Xiaomi 13T. But not last HyperOS update.

Yes, last version of Android update. So it’ll stay in Android 16, it will not go to Android 17.
It will get HyperOS 3.1 because it’s still on Android 16.
It will probably NOT get HyperOS 4.0 as it will probably have too many Android 17 dependencies.

but this isn’t the last update! This and the Pro model were the first phones promised to receive 4 major Android versions! So if this doesn’t happen I will return my phone!

Yes, when I purchased my 13T I double checked with Xiaomi store employee that it would have 4 android updates through Android 17. They couldn’t tell me what Hyper OS version it would have but definitely would get Android 17. You will need to check with your sources at Xiaomi again.

Xiaomi 13 T is a regret for me. Even oldest models recieved the Hyperos 3 update, we are still waiting for Xiaomi 13T. This will be my last Xiaomi purchase.
Xiaomi brutally mocked us. They left a smartphone, which was supposed to be almost a flagship two years ago, last in line for the 3.0 update. We don’t even know when—or if—this update will ever arrive; far too much time has passed. Never, ever again a Xiaomi smartphone. I’ve been using their devices for 8 years, but the 13T was a disappointment that’s hard to describe. Very soon, I’ll get rid of this fiasco and get a phone from a brand that truly respects its users!
I have the 13t pro and I still haven’t received anything, I’m stuck at November 2025
This seems like we, the users of Xiaomi, especially Xiaomi 13T users, are being ignored. HyperOS 3.1 has been shared with most devices, and Android 17 updates have also started rolling out, yet we are still waiting for a one-year-old update.
I think it’s time to switch to Samsung, Vivo, or Realme. Xiaomi has changed its route and is now in the race to compete with other brands, leaving users behind.
We’re now in the second week of April and HyperOS 3 update for 13T is not yet being rolled out. Slew of updates are being released to lots of Xiaomi devices but none for 13T. The device is still in January security patch. Not receiving the update doesn’t make the phone useless but this is just disappointing. Really disappointing. This is why Apple’s software update distribution to their iOS devices are way better compared to Android’s (again, I am pertaining to update distribution, not the quality of the update). It won’t surprise me if 13T still doesn’t receive the HyperOS 3 update by the end of April.
The wait was frustrating, quite disappointing. Meanwhile, another device of mine (Honor Pad) was promised by the manufacturer to receive the MagicOS 10 update based on Android 16 this April. And surprisingly, it was received last night. I appreciate their accuracy and attention to the user experience.
