REDMI’s first clip-on earphone, the REDMI Clip Neo, will be unveiled this month together with the REDMI K100 smartphone. This announcement was made by Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi’s Smartphone Division and General Manager of the REDMI brand.
REDMI Clip Neo Details
The REDMI Clip Neo is REDMI’s debut in the clip-style earphone market. It weighs just 5.5 grams per earpiece and features a bio-inspired curved design reinforced with high-performance memory titanium wire for flexibility and durability. It uses a large 11mm driver unit aimed at delivering strong sound performance. The body sports a high-gloss mirror finish, and the earphones have an IP57 rating, offering dust and water resistance.
Launch Context and Pricing
Xiaomi previously released its first clip-style earphone in May, priced at 849 yuan (about $120), with an initial sale price of 799 yuan (approximately $113). The upcoming REDMI Clip Neo is expected to compete in a similar segment. Both the earphone and the K100 phone launches are scheduled within this month, as confirmed by Lu Weibing but without exact dates or market scope specified.
