POCO and Xiaomi Dominate AliExpress 618 Smartphone Sales Ranking

AliExpress has released its first China Brands Global Sales Ranking for the 618 shopping festival, showing strong global demand for Xiaomi ecosystem products. In the smartphone category, Xiaomi brands secured the top two positions, with POCO ranking first and Xiaomi ranking second. The result highlights how Xiaomi’s dual-brand strategy continues to perform strongly in international e-commerce markets.

Chinese Brands Gain Momentum Global

According to AliExpress, this is the first time a cross-border e-commerce platform has published a dedicated ranking for Chinese brands’ global sales during 618. The list covers 10 major categories, including smartphones, auto parts, digital audio-visual products, computers, office products, sportswear, outdoor cycling, home appliances, and 3D printing.

In the mobile phone category, POCO led the ranking, followed by Xiaomi. Other major Android brands also appeared in the top ten, including Honor, realme, OnePlus, OPPO, and vivo. Rugged phone brand DOOGEE and walkie-talkie brand Baofeng also entered the list, showing that global buyers are interested not only in mainstream smartphones but also in niche communication devices.

Brands and Categories

The AliExpress 618 global sales ranking included several major Chinese technology brands:

  • Smartphones: POCO ranked first, Xiaomi ranked second
  • Computers and office products: Lenovo ranked first, Xiaomi ranked second
  • Digital audio-visual products: MAGCUBIC led the category
  • Audio brands: KZ, EDIFIER, and FIFINE gained strong visibility
  • 3D printing: ANYCUBIC ranked first, followed by brands such as ELEGOO, Creality, and Bambu Lab
  • Home appliances: Midea and Ecovacs benefited from rising demand in Europe

Why This Matters for Xiaomi

The result is especially important for Xiaomi because POCO and Xiaomi are serving different customer groups while strengthening the same ecosystem. POCO continues to attract users looking for high-performance smartphones at aggressive prices, while Xiaomi maintains a broader premium and smart ecosystem identity.

Xiaomi’s second-place ranking in the computer and office category also shows that its overseas appeal is no longer limited to smartphones. The company is gradually building recognition across multiple product segments, including laptops, smart devices, and lifestyle technology.

Global Market Impact

AliExpress’ ranking confirms that Chinese consumer technology brands are becoming increasingly competitive in global online sales. In Europe, home appliance brands are benefiting from seasonal demand, while 3D printing brands are building strong communities through software ecosystems, open-source support, and user-driven innovation.

For Xiaomi, the strong performance of POCO and Xiaomi smartphones reinforces the company’s ability to compete globally through pricing, performance, and ecosystem integration.
