Xiaomi’s next major system update is already starting to appear in early leaks. A new HyperOS 4 Launcher build has reportedly surfaced online, giving the first look at Xiaomi’s refreshed home screen experience and its new Liquid Glass design language. The leaked version is identified as RELEASE-7.00.11.5075-05181729-R, and according to current information, it only runs on HyperOS 3.3.
The source of the leaked launcher is currently unknown, but the build is believed to come from early HyperOS 4 development. The most visible change appears in the long-press home screen menu. The leaked screenshots show a redesigned floating menu with darker circular icons, glass-like blur effects, and cleaner spacing for key options such as Wallpaper, Wallpaper Effects, Widgets, and Home Screen Settings.
New app animations and bounce effects spotted
The leaked launcher also introduces noticeable animation improvements. App opening and closing animations now appear smoother and more dynamic compared to previous HyperOS versions. Xiaomi has reportedly added a new bounce effect during transitions, making the interface feel more fluid and responsive.
This bounce-style motion is especially visible when returning to the home screen and while switching between apps. The effect matches Xiaomi’s new Liquid Glass design philosophy and gives HyperOS 4 a more modern visual identity similar to premium animation systems seen on flagship operating systems.
New Liquid Glass design appears early
The leaked launcher clearly carries Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 4 Liquid Glass visual style. However, because HyperOS 3.3 does not fully include the required system-level resources and repositories for this new interface, the design does not appear to work perfectly on current builds.
This means users should not expect the leaked launcher to represent the final HyperOS 4 experience. Some visual effects, animations, transparency layers, or blur behavior may be broken or incomplete when the APK is installed on HyperOS 3.3.
Launcher may be rebuilt with Rust support
The most interesting detail is the “-R” suffix at the end of the version name. XiaomiTime previously reported that Xiaomi is expanding its use of Rust and Flutter across HyperOS 4. Rust support already started appearing with HyperOS 3.1, and HyperOS 4 is expected to expand this foundation across more system apps.
The leaked launcher version ending with “-R” may indicate that this build is related to Xiaomi’s Rust-based development path. If true, the launcher could be one of the first major system components to benefit from Xiaomi’s new software architecture.
Early leak, not final software
For now, this leaked HyperOS 4 Launcher should be treated as an early development build. It gives an important preview of Xiaomi’s next design direction, but it is not a stable public release. Since it only works on HyperOS 3.3 and does not render correctly without HyperOS 4 system resources, regular users should wait for official builds instead of installing leaked APKs. If you want to try HyperOS 4 Launcher on your phone you can get it from MemeOSUpdates or MemeOS Enhancer app.
