Xiaomi’s first stable HyperOS 4 build is now ready internally. The Xiaomi Pad 8 in China has reached OS4.0.1.0.XPZCNXM, based on Android 17. This is an internal stable beta build, meaning Xiaomi could approve and release it as the first public stable HyperOS 4 update at any time.

The important detail is the version number. Earlier HyperOS 4 firmware was still moving through beta and internal testing builds, while OS4.0.1.0.XPZCNXM is a release-ready stable branch for the Chinese Xiaomi Pad 8.
There is still no confirmed public rollout date. However, if testing does not uncover a major issue, the first stable release could arrive within roughly 15–20 days.
HyperOS 4 Brings New Glass UI, Performance and AI Features
HyperOS 4 introduces Soft Light Glass, stacked widgets and notifications, redesigned folders and lock screens, the new Xiaomi HyperConnect device center, lower system resource use, improved memory management, and deeper AI features through Super XiaoAI 2.0 and Xiaomi MiMo.
Xiaomi claims up to 14.4% fewer system instructions, 27.2% more available memory after eight hours, 17.5% faster sequential app opening, and 28.9% fewer dropped frames compared with HyperOS 3 under its laboratory tests.
The first stable build is currently prepared for the China version of Xiaomi Pad 8. More devices are expected to follow after Xiaomi completes the first rollout.
