Xiaomi’s next foldable phone has appeared in a new regulatory registration, revealing what could become one of the company’s most ambitious AI-focused devices. The phone carries the model number 2608BPX34C and is believed to be the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold, internally known by the codename LHASA and project number Q18.
The registration lists several large language and vision models, suggesting that the device may support multiple AI services through Xiaomi’s upcoming HyperOS 4 software.
Xiaomi 18 Fold Could Support Multiple AI Models
According to information shared by Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi registered several AI models for the 2608BPX34C device. The listed services reportedly include:
- Xiaomi Large Model
- Xiaomi HyperVision Large Model
- Xiaomi HyperPerception Large Model
- Xiaomi MiMo Large Model
- Zhipu AI
- Wenxin Yiyan
- Doubao
- DeepSeek
- Tongyi Qianwen
- Hunyuan
The unusually long list indicates that Xiaomi may be preparing a system capable of using different AI models depending on the requested task.
For example, one model could handle image recognition while another processes text, voice commands or more complex reasoning. However, Xiaomi has not yet explained how these models will work together or whether users will be able to select them manually.
HyperOS 4 May Introduce a More Advanced AI System
The AI registrations are believed to be connected to HyperOS 4, Xiaomi’s next major operating system update. Xiaomi already offers Super Xiao Ai as its main ecosystem assistant. The company has also developed MiMo, its own large AI model, and introduced the experimental miclaw AI agent earlier in 2026.
Xiaomi previously confirmed that miclaw would not replace Super Xiao Ai. Instead, miclaw’s capabilities are expected to become part of Super Xiao Ai, allowing the existing assistant to perform more advanced tasks while keeping the same user interface. The Xiaomi 18 Fold could therefore become one of the first devices to demonstrate Xiaomi’s next-generation AI platform.
Xiaomi 18 Fold Expected Specifications
Information found in Mi Code suggests that the 2608BPX34C belongs to the Xiaomi 18 Fold. The device is currently expected to launch only in China.
The foldable phone is reportedly being developed with the following hardware:
- Codename: LHASA
- Internal model: Q18

China-Only Launch
Mi Code currently lists only China market for the Xiaomi 18 Fold. There is no evidence of global, EEA, Indian or other regional versions . The model number also ends with the letter “C,” which is normally associated with Xiaomi devices intended for the Chinese market.
