While analyzing the latest Mi Code, XimiTime has identified that the newly launched REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G is also planned to launch globally as the POCO X8. Unlike previous generations, Xiaomi is expected to sell the same hardware under both the REDMI and POCO brands in different regions.

This means Xiaomi intends to market the device as:

- POCO X8 (selected markets)
This is one of Xiaomi’s more unusual branding decisions, as both brands will coexist with nearly identical hardware.
Why Is Xiaomi Launching POCO X8 So Late?
