Google reveals Gemini Intelligence compatible Xiaomi devices list

Google has officially revealed the supported device list for Gemini Nano models, confirming that multiple Xiaomi, REDMI ecosystem, and POCO devices already support Gemini Nano v2 on-device AI technology. The information was published through Google’s developer documentation alongside the announcement of the upcoming Gemini Intelligence platform for Android.

This is not a leak or rumor. The compatibility information comes directly from Google’s official requirements and supported device documentation. The listing also gives us one of the clearest looks yet at Xiaomi’s future AI strategy inside Xiaomi HyperOS.

Google officially introduces Gemini Intelligence for Android

During The Android Show | I/O Edition 2026, Google announced Gemini Intelligence, a new Android AI platform designed to deeply integrate across apps, webpages, and system functions. Instead of acting like a simple chatbot assistant, Gemini Intelligence is designed to understand user behavior and complete actions directly on behalf of users.

To support these advanced AI features, Google introduced stricter hardware requirements and new Gemini Nano model standards.

Xiaomi devices officially listed with Gemini Nano v2 support

According to Google’s official compatibility list, the following Xiaomi ecosystem devices support Gemini Nano v2:

  • Xiaomi 14T Pro
  • Xiaomi 15
  • Xiaomi 15T
  • Xiaomi 15T Pro
  • Xiaomi 15 Ultra
  • Xiaomi 17
  • Xiaomi 17 Ultra
  • Xiaomi Pad Mini
  • POCO F7 Ultra
  • POCO F8 Pro
  • POCO F8 Ultra
  • POCO X7 Pro
  • POCO X8 Pro

The list confirms that Xiaomi is already one of the major Android manufacturers actively supporting Google’s local AI ecosystem.

Google’s new AI requirements are extremely demanding

Google also revealed the minimum requirements for devices that want to support the full Gemini Intelligence experience in the future.

Official Gemini Intelligence requirements

  • Flagship-grade chipset
  • Minimum 12GB RAM
  • AI Core support
  • Gemini Nano v3 or newer
  • At least 5 Android version upgrades
  • 6 years of security updates
  • Quarterly security patch releases

This means future Android AI features will increasingly depend on powerful on-device processing instead of cloud-only systems.

Xiaomi’s AI strategy becomes clearer

Google’s official listing strongly aligns with Xiaomi’s recent hardware and software direction. Xiaomi has been aggressively expanding AI-powered features inside Xiaomi HyperOS while also increasing memory capacities across premium smartphones.

The inclusion of Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra is particularly important because it suggests Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship devices are already being prepared for advanced AI integration.

At the same time, Xiaomi continues investing heavily in XRING O1 chip development, local AI acceleration, and Xiaomi HyperConnect ecosystem technologies.

Gemini Nano v3 may arrive on future Xiaomi flagships

While current Xiaomi devices are listed under Gemini Nano v2, Google’s future Gemini Intelligence platform will require Gemini Nano v3 or newer. The Nano v3 list currently focuses mainly on next-generation 2026 flagship devices from other manufacturers.

This strongly suggests future Xiaomi flagship phones could transition to Gemini Nano v3 with upcoming Xiaomi HyperOS updates or next-generation hardware launches.

For Xiaomi users, the announcement confirms that devices with 12GB RAM and long-term software support will become increasingly important for accessing future Android AI capabilities.
