At the IFA 2026 event in Berlin, Xiaomi officially introduced its Mijia brand to European and global audiences for the first time. The company announced a large-scale rollout of the Mijia ecosystem products in Europe, marking a significant expansion for the brand beyond China.

IFA, Europe’s largest consumer electronics show, serves as an important platform for Xiaomi. This year, Xiaomi featured its biggest-ever “People, Car, Home, Full Ecosystem” exhibition, occupying over 3,000 square meters.
Lu Weibing, Xiaomi’s Group partner and president, reiterated the company’s integrated approach to smart living, combining automotive, smart home, and personal technology products. He also confirmed that Xiaomi’s electric car will launch in the European market in 2027.
Additionally, Lu Weibing will host a livestream from the IFA venue on September 3 at 20:30 Beijing time. The stream aims to showcase the exhibition and provide updates on Xiaomi’s latest innovations, including the Xiaomi 18 Fold smartphone, the new Xiaomi XRING chip, and their next-generation robot.
The Mijia brand expansion to Europe suggests Xiaomi is accelerating its push to build a connected ecosystem, moving beyond smartphones and wearables into smart home devices and electric vehicles. This rollout will bring Xiaomi’s smart home offerings closer to European consumers with official availability and support.
Users interested in Xiaomi product updates and ecosystem news can follow the upcoming livestream and watch for further announcements throughout 2026 and 2027 as the company prepares its European automotive debut.
