Two entirely new device platforms have been spotted, internally codenamed «mist » and «zephyr ,» indicating that Xiaomi is preparing a new wave of affordable 4G and 5G smartphones for a summer launch.
Technical breakdown of «mist» and «zephyr»
Newly discovered database entries reveal that Xiaomi is aggressively targeting the entry-level segment with upgraded Qualcomm silicon.
The first device, codenamed «mist» (internal model number P19) , is built around the upcoming Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 5G platform . This suggests a significant leap in performance and efficiency for entry-level 5G. However, the database currently only shows regional model numbers for China ( 26021RN18C ) and India (26021RN18I ). The second device, codenamed «zephyr» (internal model number P19A) , will target markets where 4G still dominates. It is expected to run on the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset . Unlike its 5G sibling, the model numbers for «zephyr» clearly point to a global launch only.
Although the exact specifications regarding battery capacity, charging speeds, and display technology remain closely guarded secrets at this stage, the processor configurations alone tell a compelling story about Xiaomi’s hardware strategy for the coming season.
