Xiaomi’s upcoming foldable phone, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, has appeared in leaked photos revealing a Cabernet Red color similar to the REDMI K100 Pro Max. The device features a horizontal camera strip and uses a wide foldable screen design.
The images were shared by the blogger @韩路 and highlight the phone’s distinctive rear camera layout, described as a “horizontal runway” style. This follows Xiaomi’s design trend seen on recent foldable models.
Specifications and Launch Plans
The Xiaomi 18 Fold is confirmed to launch with the self-developed XRING O3 AI flagship chip, which achieved an AnTuTu score of 5.22 million points. The phone’s preorder has already begun, with a planned market release in September.
The wide fold design suggests Xiaomi is aiming for both a larger internal screen and enhanced usability compared to narrower foldables. The new flagship also fits into Xiaomi’s strategy of offering powerful, AI-optimized foldable devices.
The design closely resembles the unreleased 2025 Fold device
The camera design of the unreleased Xiaomi MIX FOLD 5, codenamed “Nirvana,” as well as the unreleased camera design of the Xiaomi 15, were both horizontal. While the unreleased Fold has a vertical design, this one has a more square shape.
