REDMI M100 launches with Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 and 7900mAh battery

Xiaomi has introduced the REDMI M100 smartphone on its official store. The new model features the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset and a large 7900mAh battery, priced from 1799 CNY (about $250).

Display and Build Features

The REDMI M100 focuses on eye comfort and long battery life. It offers a 6.9-inch LCD flat screen with a 1600×720 resolution and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The display uses Corning Gorilla Glass for protection and is rated for dust and splash resistance. The device’s touch sensor can handle up to 500,000 fingerprint taps.

Its body design includes a subtly curved back panel with a four-part symmetrical depth layout and enhanced RGB dynamic lighting. The camera module features a metal accent for added durability and style. Color options are Night Black, Star Rain White, and Wilderness Green.

Hardware and Battery

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 platform built on a 4nm process, featuring an octa-core CPU. It houses a 7900mAh battery, supporting 45W fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The charging system is compatible with the PPS charging protocol.

Camera and Software

The REDMI M100 comes with a 13MP rear camera capable of film filters, portrait mode, time-lapse, night mode, dynamic photos, dual-view video, professional mode, and document scanning mode. The front camera is 5MP and supports front beauty mode, face recognition, portrait, and night modes.

The phone uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. It runs on Xiaomi’s custom Xiaomi Pengpai OS 3 (HyperOS 3) with features like multifunctional NFC, Super Xiao Ai voice assistant, and Xiaomi Super Island interface. It also includes an elder care mode with large icons and fonts, increased media, ringtone, and notification volume through the speaker (up to 300% louder), and spam call blocking.
