Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Smart Fish Tank 2 Pro on its Youpin platform, offering pre-orders with a crowdfunding price of 599 CNY (about $85). The sale will begin on August 24 at 10:00 AM China time.
Advanced Water Filtration Design
The fish tank uses a custom water circulation system that guides the flow through multiple filter layers. This step-by-step filtering effectively traps impurities and prevents backward flow and wasted circulation, improving filtration efficiency.
Its biochemical filter section features a U-shaped water path that extends the contact time for beneficial bacteria growth. The layered design separates fish waste and leftover food physically, while multiple filter cotton layers trap particles and quickly drain water to remove waste from the system.
Expandable Inlet Chamber and Powerful Pump
The multi-function inlet chamber directs water flow evenly across the filters and includes a standardized 5W smart waterproof expansion port. This allows users to add accessories like a UV lamp or heating rod without changing the tank’s layout.
The built-in pump uses a full-copper four-pole brushless motor paired with a low magnetic loss silicon steel sheet for strong power and high flow. Enlarged intake grilles and specially designed impeller paths help prevent clogging. The use of a low-resistance ceramic shaft, bearing sleeves, soundproof cotton, and fully sealed motor gel reduces operating noise.
User-Friendly Display and Smart Feeding System
A 1.47-inch HD LCD color screen shows water temperature, device status, and alerts clearly. Navigation through the interface is simple for user convenience.
The tank features an automatic feeder supporting manual and smart modes. Users can set feeding frequency according to fish needs, ensuring regular feeding even during travel. If feeding or operations fail, the Mijia app sends proactive notifications.
Smart App Features and Voice Control
Through the Mijia app, owners can remotely feed fish, adjust pump speed, check temperature trends, and program lid light settings. The tank supports voice commands via Xiaomi’s Xiao Ai assistant to easily turn lighting on or off.
The system intelligently adjusts lighting, filtration, and operation strategies based on tank age, fish species, and quantity as set by users. The Mijia Smart Fish Tank 2 Pro is currently announced for China, with availability starting at the crowdfunding price of about $85.
