The POCO F9 Pro could launch globally with a noticeably smaller battery than its apparent Chinese counterpart, the REDMI K100 Pro. Mi Code information shared by @kacskrz points to a 6,330mAh battery for the POCO model, compared with the 8,580mAh unit listed for the REDMI K100 Pro in China.
This would be a reduction of 2,250mAh, or roughly 26%, if the rebrand connection and battery entries are accurate.
A major change for the global model
Battery capacity is often one of the biggest differences between China-only REDMI phones and their global POCO versions. However, this possible gap is particularly large. The REDMI K100 Pro is listed with an 8,580mAh silicon-carbon battery and 100W wired charging. A 6,330mAh cell would still be large by flagship standards, but it may offer clearly shorter endurance than the Chinese model, especially during gaming or extended 5G use.
Why the capacity could be lower
The smaller cell may be related to global market hardware requirements, regional certifications, internal design changes, or a different battery configuration. It is also possible that charging details and other specifications will differ from the REDMI version. For now, the Mi Code information suggests global buyers should not assume that the POCO F9 Pro will retain the REDMI K100 Pro’s 8,580mAh battery.
