Xiaomi’s REDMI K100 Pro Max, set to launch on August 11 at 7 PM, will not have a Champion Edition variant. This was confirmed by REDMI product manager Hu Xinxin in a comment on Weibo.
Previous REDMI K-series models regularly offered Champion Editions. These special editions featured unique designs inspired by racing and sports, often linked to brands like Mercedes-AMG F1 or Lamborghini. They also came with higher memory options. For example, the REDMI K90 Pro Max Champion Edition launched last October with a Lamborghini SQUADRA CORSE customized theme and was priced at 5,499 yuan (about $770). It was based on the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version of the REDMI K90 Pro Max.
Confirmed Features of the REDMI K100 Pro Max
The REDMI K100 Pro Max introduces several high-end features. It sports Xiaomi’s first 185Hz refresh rate gaming screen, natively supporting over 30 popular games. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset coupled with the AI independent graphics D2 chip. This setup enables gaming enhancements such as ultra-frame rate and super-resolution concurrency.
Touch responsiveness is improved with a flagship-level chip pushing the touch sampling rate to 480Hz. It also includes a dedicated gaming antenna to significantly reduce latency. Audio is tuned by Bose, enhancing sounds like gunfire and footsteps for better in-game awareness.
The “Cabernet Red” color variant has been revealed. The device features a 6.9-inch ultra-narrow bezel flat screen, a four-curve wrapped metal frame, integrated metal DECO details, and a new floating light ring design that pulses with music beats.
