On July 29, Xiaomi revealed the smart hardware and software features of its new Skynomad vehicle series. The lineup includes two SUVs aimed at different seating and drivetrain configurations.

Key Screen and Platform Specifications
The Skynomad models feature a multi-screen setup with a 16.1-inch 3K central touchscreen, an 8.88-inch instrument cluster, and a 21.4-inch screen for rear passengers. They support a 20-inch heads-up display (HUD) for enhanced driver information. The front passenger seat can extend into a pad, which doubles as a mobile control screen for rear occupants.
Under the hood, both models run on the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. The vehicles support Xiaomi’s Super Xiao Ai voice assistant and integrate with the CarIoT ecosystem, enabling smart in-car and out-of-car voice interactions.

Advanced Driving Assistance and Sensor Suite
All vehicles in this series come standard with Xiaomi HAD (High-level Assisted Driving) and the Xiaomi XLA cognitive large model, which the company brands as a fully equipped assisted driving package. The sensor hardware includes an Nvidia Thor chip capable of 700 TOPS (tera operations per second), a rooftop LiDAR, a 4D millimeter-wave radar, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars.
The flagship N90 Max model adds a rear solid-state LiDAR sensor for enhanced perception and safety. This sensor suite supports advanced environmental detection essential for modern driver assistance.

Model Details and Upcoming Event
Xiaomi’s Skynomad series follows its earlier SU7 and YU7 lineups. The two models are:
- Skynomad N90 Max: Large seven-seat flagship extended-range SUV.
- Skynomad N70 Max: Large five-seat four-wheel-drive extended-range SUV.
Xiaomi will hold a detailed technical launch event for the Skynomad series on July 30 at 7 PM. This is the company’s second automotive technology showcase since December 2023. Further technical and feature insights are expected from that presentation.
At present, the announcements apply to the Chinese market, and Xiaomi has not shared information about global availability.
